Over the years, the NHBMC Board has refined the mission to include the following:

• Promote and grow the biotechnology (including life sciences, biosciences and medical sciences) industry in New Hampshire
• Provide information and/or assistance to biotechnology startup companies and biotechnology companies interested in relocating their operations to New Hampshire
• Foster the growth of educational infrastructure and programs to support the biotechnology industry
• Promote job training activities for the biotechnology industry in New Hampshire
• Promote public awareness of the biotechnology industry in New Hampshire
• Implement education seminars for Association Members
• Serve as a resource to Association Members

The NHBMC has also developed six achievable goals, as follows:

• To develop a NH Science & Technology Plan for biotechnology.
• To include an economic development plan for biotech in NH for 2, 5 & 10 year time periods.
• To raise the consciousness on biotech throughout the state.
• To develop long term goals for biotech education, business development and job creation & retention in NH.
• To network the biotechnology industry, government and educational activities throughout the state into an integrated whole.
• To better integrate into a global economic cluster with members of the Northeast Biotech Corridor.
